CANTON – St. Catherine of Siena Academy is expanding to offer eighth grade courses this year, with plans to become a full high school by 2029.
The Canton Catholic school currently offers instruction for students ranging from Pre-kindergarten through seventh grade, and plans to open enrollment for eighth grade in the fall 2025 semester.
St. Catherine of Siena leaders plan to add a grade level to the school’s offerings each year.
The school is on track to launch a high school in the fall of 2026, and plans to grow until it becomes a fully established Pre-K through Grade 12 institution by the fall of 2029.
St. Catherine of Siena Academy is also seeking a replacement for Head of School Dan Sweeney, who recently announced his retirement.
St. Catherine of Siena Academy has been providing education in the Catholic tradition since 2021. It has grown from 15 students to its current enrollment of 38.
The school will also feature an open house for prospective students and families on Wednesday, Feb. 12, from 5 through 7 p.m.
