Smartphone photography, math tutoring and more at Norwood Library

NORWOOD — Senior Planet Smartphone Photography,  Math Tutoring , Folded book Hearts and Flowers workshop and more are being offered at Norwood Public Library in January.

Free math tutoring is available on Thursdays from 2-5 p.m. by volunteer Carroll Boswell. Drop in with your math questions. Open to all ages.

Library Hoots Storytime meets on Fridays at 10:30 a.m.  This early literacy program encourages reading readiness and a love of reading with stories, songs, crafts and fun.

True Crime Book Club meets Tuesday, Jan. 14, at 7 p.m. to discuss this month’s book, ‘Riding with Evil’ by Ken Croke and Dave Wedge. New book club members are welcome.

Crochet Circle will gather on Saturday, Jan. 18, at 11 a.m. with volunteer Brittany Ashley to work on projects and enjoy conversations.

A Senior Planet Smartphone Photography lecture will be held Jan. 21 at 2 p.m. Learn more about smartphone cameras with  Android and iPhone devices, icons, editing tools, managing and sharing photos, and scanning QR codes.

Patrons are invited to play Book Bingo as a winter reading challenge by reading books from five different categories before Feb. 28. Children will earn free books for each Bingo. Adults/teens will earn a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the Norwood  News Cafe. Pick up a Winter Bingo card at the library or on the library’s Facebook page.
