Slowly walking to fascism

To the Editor:

In response to Leland Farnsworth’s letter from 1/9, I would like to give an opinion and information.

A majority of hurting voters were hurting and felt listened to. How? With rallies asserting the exact opposite about the economy or the demonization of immigrants? Or about the inflation that continues or manipulation of certain items by major manufacturers of said items?

While Mr. Farnsworth is “not a trumper or a MAGA,” helping to excuse said group is the same as holding water for that group.

There is a difference between being spoken down to and being yelled at in the face. MAGA and those on the right feel spoken down to because the information doesn’t align with what they believe and then their response is to yell in the face of the informant. This is seen in multiple letters to the editor on this site, of which I have responded about but have never seen brought up because not republican.

He speaks about policies and elections. It doesn’t help when your policies, proven to work, are bad-mouthed ad nauseum in major new networks and supposed new outlets, like this site/publication.

We didn’t demonize a candidate. We pointed out his behaviors and what he was saying. That neuroscientific evidence Mrs. Hodges pointed out it was in effect enough to not make a dent.

We are slowly walking to fascism and it isn’t helped by the “work together” mentality, especially when one side is openly saying that their opponents should be locked up and/or killed.
