Kicking off the holiday season, Santa and Frosty arrived at the Canton Village Park the day after Thanksgiving.
The annual prelude to Christmas has been an annual tradition in Canton for about 40 years.
A long line of children formed at the park waiting to meet Santa. Most children wore smiles as they visited with Santa onstage, but a few younger ones were more hesitant.
Santa gave each child a book and candy cane.
Christmas music was performed by singer Diane Cullen. The festive songs could be heard throughout the park.
Holiday lights along Main Street lit the road for the horse-drawn sleigh carried families around the block during the event.
Also offered at the event were hot chocolate and cookies.
