OGDENSBURG — The Seaway Festival’s annual Kids Fishing Derby was a whopping success with 80 participants fishing the St. Lawrence River.
The family-friendly event also included parents, grandparents and friends, lining the shore along the the Greenbelt Park July 20.
The young anglers were excited to reel in their catches, including a pair of sunglasses.
The winner of the fishing derby was Emerson Rishe, of Ogdensburg. He caught a 20 inch fresh water drum.

Other trophy winners were Evelyn Chase-Adams, who won a kayak, Sawyer Denny for ‘Oddest Catch’ for reeling in sunglasses, Sawyer Denny for ‘Sportsmanship Award’, and Kielle Cianci for her 10 inch bullhead.
