CANTON – A St. Lawrence County grand jury handed down drug-related indictments against two Winthrop men on Thursday, March 13.
Bryan I. Hartson, 53, and Timothy R. Kerrick, 35, were indicted on two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Kerrick, who is currently incarcerated at the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility, was also indicted for resisting arrest.
It is alleged that during a traffic stop on Sept. 9 on State Route 11C in the Town Brasher, police discovered narcotic drugs in the vehicle. State police reported that numerous amounts of narcotic drugs included approximately 1.3 ounces of cocaine, 15 grams of MDMA, and numerous pills of several different types.
In other grand jury action, Adam F. Peets, 37, of 19 Ridge St., Norwood, was indicted for third-degree grand larceny. It is alleged Peets stole property exceeding $3,000 in value on Aug. 9 in the Town of Waddington.
