Sheriff's Officer awards Junior Officer Badge to Hammond student

St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Officer Colton Tate visited Hammond Central recently and ventured outside during recess. He gave third grade student Parker Johnson a Junior Officer Badge. Officer Tate explained that Parker has been the highlight of his days when he visits the district. School officials said Johnson has been taking care of his classmates and siblings, keeping them safe while outside, practicing street safety and he is always polite and respectful when he talks with Officer Tate.
