GOUVERNEUR -- Shawn R. Fenton, age 57, of Gouverneur, passed away on April 19, 2025 at home.
There will be no services. Arrangements are with French Funeral Home in Gouverneur. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.
Shawn was born on May 17, 1967 in Star Lake to the late Bert Fenton and Sharon (Miller) Weldon, who survives him. He attended Clifton-Fine Central School and graduated from Gouverneur Central School in 1985. Shawn had served in the United States Army.
Mr. Fenton worked as a welder for Riverside Iron Works and for Paul Jones’ pallet company. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Shawn is survived by his mother, Sharon Weldon; step-brother, Karl (Kimberly) Weldon, and step-sister, Judith (James Bradley). He is predeceased by his father, Bert Fenton; his step-father, Roger Weldon, and his brother, Shad Fenton.
