State police are searching for a missing snowmobiler who reportedly went through the ice on the St. Regis River on Tuesday.
This is the second time a snowmobiler has gone through the ice in the last two weeks.
One person was rescued last week after their snowmobile went through the ice on the St. Regis River near Jelly Bean Campground, according to Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC).
State police and rescue workers continued their search Wednesday morning for the driver of a snowmobile that fell through the ice Tuesday near the bridge on Country 49 in Winthrop.
In the incident last week., Ranger Ellis assisted the New York State Police Dive Team to escort the operator off the ice near 11C Bridge in Brasher Falls.
A private tow company retrieved the snowmobile. Resources were clear at 11:53 a.m.
