HERMON - Robert L. Card, 73 of Hermon died on Wednesday, April 2 with his siblings by his side at Samaritan Summit Village, Watertown, where he has been a resident.
Robert has made many friends at the home both staff and residents. He always kept everyone entertained. He always made people laugh. The family of Robert, (Bob), or (Bobby) would like to thank everyone at Samaritan Summit Village for all their friendship and loving care.
Robert L. Card was born on January 13, 1952 in Gouverneur, N.Y. He was the son of the late Raymond and Catherine (Weiler) Card. He attended Hermon Dekalb School.
He worked at Gouverneur Talc mines. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. He especially loved four-wheeling. We hope they have one wherever he is now! He enjoyed visiting and helping neighbors, friends and family.
Robert is survived by his siblings; brother, Richard and Debi Card, Gouverneur NY and their children David, Jimmy and Julie; Sister Kathy and Terry Tynon, Jacksonville, NC and their children Shantell and Shane; Sister Melanie and Doug Mattice, Rensselaer Falls NY and their children DJ, Jason and Mystori; sister Diana and Mark Richardson, Canton NY and their child Juliana; sister Penny and Mitch Hays, Gouverneur, NY and their children Shandria and Ariana; sister Darlene Thornton, Jamestown TN and her children Travis Church and Brittany Thornton; a foster sister Tammy Olin of Clearfield, PA and her child Khrystial.
We will have a graveside service at Fairview Cemetery, Edwards, NY at a date to be announced.
Donations in Robert’s memory may be made in his name to the Fairview Cemetery, Edwards, NY 13635.
Arrangements are under the direction of Frary Funeral Home and cremation services, Ogdensburg.
