Richville man jailed on felony after violating no harass order of protection in DeKalb

DEKALB -- A Richville man was charged with a felony following an alleged domestic dispute Sept. 15 on CR 18, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies.

William Simmons, 35, was charged with first-degree criminal contempt: Physical contact, felony, officers said.

He reportedly subjected the protected party of a no harass order to physical contact.

Simmons was arraigned in Gouverneur court and held on $1,000 bail, deputies said.

A no contact order of protection was issued in favor of the victim, officers said.
