Updated to report ribbon cutting date at Potsdam Walmart changed to May 23.
POTSDAM – A ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the remodeled Potsdsam Walmart store set Friday, May 17, has been rescheduled to Thursday, May 23, at 9 a.m.
The event will also feature vendors, giveaways and food trucks.
"Walmart is committed to providing a better shopping experience for our Potsdam customers," said Jeff Bonno, store manager. "We're thrilled to unveil a range of new, in-store features, and we couldn’t have done it without the dedication of our associates and store leadership team. This investment underscores our commitment to Upstate New York communities."
Walmart will also reinforce the store’s dedication to the Potsdam community by noting donations to three area non-profit organizations – $500 to Renewal House, Renewal House, Canton, $500 to the North Country Children’s Museum, Potsdam, , and $1,000 to the West Potsdam Fire Department.
During the reopening celebration – which will honor 22 associates who were part of the original grand opening in 2008 – Bonno will highlight the transformations at the store, including new, interactive features now available to customers. These include:
