There is a dearth of affordable dental care in our community.
Dentists here no longer accept Medicaid patients, and with further projected cuts to resources for those in need of medical and dental care, food, and/or housing, it’s time to volunteer.
Patients often wait one to two years to see a dentist while follow-up appointments can take just as long.
If dentists in our community volunteer one or two days a month to the Community Center in Canton, many children and adults will benefit from their kindness and generosity.
The Center is also in need of Physical Therapists and Clinicians.
Will you offer your services?
I invite the Community Center and North Country Now to discuss the Center’s needs in an upcoming issue.
And I invite any and every caring service provider to personally begin that dialogue with the Center and to consider offering their talents to it.
With respect and hope,
Michele Nadder
