POTSDAM – The Potsdam Chamber of Commerce is preparing for one of the community’s most anticipated traditions, Fright Night, happening Thursday, October 23, from 5 to 8 p.m. This free, family-friendly event brings hundreds of families downtown for safe trick-or-treating, live entertainment, and festive fun.
New this year, Fright Night will take place in two locations: Market Street and the Market Square Mall, featuring over 30 “Trunks of Treats” hosted by local businesses, organizations, and community groups.
The Chamber is still seeking additional trunk participants to help fill both sites. Businesses, clubs, and student organizations are invited to decorate their vehicles, distribute candy, and join in the spirit of Halloween. There is no fee to participate, and trunks will be included on the official event map and promoted on Chamber platforms.
Activities this year include costume contests hosted by JobsRUS (22 Depot Street) from 5–6 p.m., with winners announced on Market Street at 6:30 p.m., and a performance by the Potsdam Dance Company at 7 p.m.
Interested businesses or organizations can sign up to host a trunk by contacting the Potsdam Chamber of Commerce at (315) 274-9000 or emailing director@potsdamchamber.com.
