OGDENSBURG -- An attempted traffic stop ended with a vehicle crashing into a residence in the city of Ogdensburg
According to Ogdensburg City Police, St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Deputies initiated a traffic stop outside the city around 11:15 today, Jan. 20, eventually fleeing police and driving northbound into the city.
Police say the vehicle traveled on New York Avenue at a high rate of speed, striking an uninvolved motor vehicle before leaving the roadway and ultimately crashing into the residence of 115 New York Avenue.
Police confirmed a multi agency response occurred, including federal authorities.
St. Lawrence County investigators and federal border agencies are working to determine the identities of those involved in the incident.
Ogdensburg Police say they will continue to assist in the investigation.
The only reported injury was a minor cut to the hand of the suspected driver, police say.
