Ogdensburg youth meets NFL legend

Karter Strathdee, an eleven-year-old sixth grader at Kennedy Elementary School in Ogdensburg, met NFL legend Dan Marino Dec. 22 when the San Francisco 49ers played the Miami Dolphins at the Hard Rock Stadium in Florida. He attended the game with his mother (Marissa Catlin) and grandmother (Victoria Bova), as a surprise Christmas present. Besides the Dolphin win, the highlight of the day was personally meeting Hall of Famer Dan Marino before the game. ‘Dan requested a photo with just the two of them besides the group photo, which was another bonus, said Victoria Bova, who submitted the photo. His parents are Jordan Strathdee and Marissa Catlin of Ogdensburg.
