OGDENSBURG -- A convicted felon was arrested Feb. 11 after he was found to possess an expandable baton during a traffic stop by county sheriff's deputies. Another passenger in the vehicle was found with a drugs, deputies said.
Deputies charged driver Jacob R. Brabant, 40, with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon (D Felony) for having the baton, and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation (misdemeanor), following the stop on Pickering Street.
Passenger Kelsey L. Gebo was charged with seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance.
Brabant was arraigned in the City of Ogdensburg Court and remanded to the St. Lawrence County jail.
Gebo was issued an appearance ticket and is expected to appear in the City of Ogdensburg Court at a later date.
