POTSDAM — SLC Arts, in partnership with the North Country Art Teachers Association (NCATA), will host the culminating event of the 2024–2025 NCATA Scholars Program on Thursday, May 29 at 5 p.m.
The showcase will take place at the Creative Spirit Community Arts Center, 6 Raymond St.
The NCATA Scholars Showcase is the final celebration of a year-long program designed to nurture and highlight the talents of high school art students from across the North Country. Through a series of immersive workshops and mentorship opportunities with professional artists, students in the program have developed original works in a collaborative and supportive environment.
The exhibition will feature a diverse array of artwork created by the Scholars, reflecting the innovation and dedication of a new generation of artists. Attendees will have the opportunity to view the students’ creations and meet the artists behind them.
The event is free and open to the public.
Sponsors include SAGE Scholars, Adirondack Kids Foundation, and the Baudenhausen Legacy Fund.
