Posted

Norwood-Norfolk High School students will present the musical “Matilda” Friday, March 14, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, March 15, at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. The musical, based on the 1988 novel “Matilda” by Roald Dahl, is centered on Matilda, played by Nicole White. Matilda is a  little girl with astonishing wit, intelligence and telekinesis powers. She's unloved by her cruel parents, played by Brielle Smith as Mrs. Wormwood and Watson Nyguen as Mr. Wormwood. However, she impresses her schoolteacher, Miss Honey, portrayed by Zoë Diedrich. Matilda's school life isn't completely smooth sailing. The school's headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, played by Alexa Lasalle, hates children and enjoys punishing those who don't abide by her rules. But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts, and could be the school's saving grace. Tickets are $14 for adults and $12 students and can be purchased at https://cur8.com/15456/project/130222
