Mary Jane Chambers, 76, Waddington

WADDINGTON – Mary Jane Chambers, 76, passed away early Wednesday morning, April 16, 2025 at North Country Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Mary Jane was born October 8, 1948 in Massena, the daughter of the late Walter and Bernice (Speer) Beaulieu.

She was a graduate of Potsdam High School and continued her education at Watertown Business School.

On October 12, 1968, she married John W. Chambers in Potsdam.

Mary Jane was a counselor first starting at St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center, then moving to Massena Mental Health where she retired.

She was a communicant of St. John’s Episcopal Church and enjoyed traveling, shopping and visiting local restaurants.

Mary Jane is survived by her husband, John; her sons, Michael (Sandy) Chambers of Waddington, and Kenneth Chambers (Kylie Taylor) of Madrid; her grandchildren, Braxton, Peyton, and Abigail Chambers and Francis, Natalie, and Colby Boland; her great grandchildren, Jaxson and Kase Boland; her sister, Enid Tholin of Ohio; her brother David Beaulieu of Potsdam; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Mark on February 18, 2022, and a daughter-in-law, Jennifer Chambers on August 8, 2020.

A Funeral Mass celebrating her life will be held at 10:00 AM on April 25, 2025, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Massena, with Mother Sonya Boyce, celebrating.

Entombment will follow in the St. John’s Episcopal Church Columbarium.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing may consider memorial contributions to be made in her memory to Waddington Rescue or St. John’s Episcopal Church, Massena.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, where friends may share memories and offer condolences online at www.donaldsonfh.com.
