POTSDAM — A Franklin County man was jailed on drug charges following a traffic stop on South Canton Road Sept. 2, according to state police.
Troop B-Violent Gangs and Narcotics Enforcement Team charged James L. Labarr, 31, with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felonies, and endangering the welfare of a child, officers said.
During the traffic stop, Labarr was allegedly found in possession of approximately 40 bricks of heroin while having children present in the vehicle.
Labarr was arrested and transported to SP Massena for processing, police said.
He was reportedly arraigned in Town of Potsdam Court and remanded without bail to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility due to prior felony convictions.
