MADRID – The Madrid-Waddington Central School U.S. Drone Soccer Team soared to new heights this past weekend, placing fourth in the nation at the U.S. Drone Soccer National Championship.
The event is held at the SkyDome in Rome, the country’s largest UAV experimentation facility.
Team members Phebe Grandy, Tyree Hawkins, Ben Weaver, Murphy Burke, William Haney, Samantha Milburn, Declan Coakley, Lilly Tiernan, Carson Knowlton, and Brynne S. proudly represented their small, rural district with major accomplishments:
Special thanks go to Carlisle Law Firm for team shirts, SeaComm Federal Credit Union for travel support, and the team families for their generous donations and encouragement.
This achievement was made possible with support from U.S. Drone Soccer, CNY Drones, New York Power Authority, and SUNY Polytechnic Institute.
