HAMMOND - Lorraine E. Rubadue, age 98 of Hammond passed away on Sunday evening (February 2, 2025) at her home with her daughter by her side. She will be entombed at the Oswegatchie Mausoleum. There will be a family memorial service in the spring.
Surviving are her children Kay McNeil of Hammond and Bernard (JoAnne) Rubadue of Morristown; grandchildren Greg (Sarina) McNeil, Drew McNeil, Chris (Sarah) Rubadue and Kelsey Rubadue; great grandchildren Merrah, Lauren, Kiana, Kinleigh, Caiden, Roy & Lucy.
She was predeceased by her husband Lyle J. Rubadue in 1990; a sister Talma Lavarnway and two brothers Bernard & Roy Lavarnway Jr.
Lorraine was born on December 13, 1926 in Hammond, a daughter of the late Roy & Genevieve (Tario) Lavarnway. She graduated from Hammond High School and was later married to Lyle J. Rubadue on June 5, 1954.
Lorraine lived in Hammond all her life, and was a hairdresser for 30+. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. Condolences and fond memories can also be shared online at www.foxandmurrayfuneralhome.com.
