COLTON -- Interested in learning more about the great north woods? Join the Local Living Venture for an educational woods walk on Sunday, May 18, at 1 p.m.
The afternoon will feature an approximate 1.25 mile hike over varied terrain to enjoy and discuss local forests. Ecology, hydrology, soils, invasive species, wildlife, management strategies and more are on the agenda.
The event will go forward, rain or shine, and attendees are asked to dress for the weather and wear appropriate shoes.
Location details will be provided with an RSVP, the event is limited to 20 people. There is no cost for the event, though free-will donations are appreciated.
