CANTON – Little River Community School recognized two graduates of the Class of 2025. Commencement was held at the school on Saturday, May 10.
Max Charlton is the child of Sam and Kelly Charlton of Heuvelton. Max enrolled at Little River part-way through his 8th-grade year and earned a 3.9 GPA. He completed an internship at the North Country Children’s Museum in Potsdam. Max has been published twice in The Adirondack Center for Writing’s Wild Words anthology, and recently had a paid article published in the Adirondack Daily Enterprise. He took a psychology course at St. Lawrence University through their High School Enrichment Program. Max has been awarded an Augsbury/North Country Scholarship and will attend St. Lawrence University in the fall. He intends to major in psychology.
Max Kocho-Williams is the child of Alastair and Sasha Kocho-Williams of Potsdam. He enrolled at Little River at the start of his 6th-grade year. Max participated in Little River’s satellite program, doing most of his academics at home and coming to Little River once a week. He earned a 3.65 GPA. As a junior and senior, Max attended BOCES for building trades. Max completed an internship at Windward Music and Guitars in Canton. He is also the lead guitarist and vocalist for Young Mischief, a local punk band. Max plans to move to Albany and join the Carpenters Local 291.
