POTSDAM — People are being warned to avoid Market Street in downtown Potsdam due to a swarm of bees.
Village police said a beekeeper is responding to the scene and police will advise when the area is clear.
Potsdam police and DPW are currently on scene and the area has been taped off for pedestrian safety.
“We are working on remediating the issue and will advise when the area is safe for travel,” police said.
The large swarm of bees on Market Street is reportedly in the vicinity of 34 Market Street.
“Please continue to use caution if in the downtown area,” police said in a Facebook post.
