Kathleen M. (Sherman) MacWilliam, 97, Massena

MASSENA -- Kathleen M. (Sherman) MacWilliam, age 97, of Massena, NY joined her late husband, Allan J. MacWilliam on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024. She passed away peacefully at North Country Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by loved ones.
Kathleen enjoyed going to Bingo, doing crafts and baking family favorites like Famous Date Squares and Hot Fudge Cake. Kathleen’s most cherished moments were often with her family having dinner and looking through family photo albums while rocking in her favorite chair, with her beloved dachshund, “Maggie”.
Kathleen was born on January 15th, 1927, in McAdam, New Brunswick, Canada, to the late Cameron and Amy (Marshall) Sherman. She married the love of her life Allan J. MacWilliam on March 17th, 1948. Together they had 3 children; William A. (Joann) MacWilliam of East Windsor CT, Sharon A. MacWilliam of Massena NY and Allan J. MacWilliam of Austin TX.
Kathleen was also survived by four grandchildren; Tyson A. and Cayla MacWilliam of Massena, NY, Joshua (Melissa) Sanders of CT, Jessica (Dave) Hallett of CT, Jacob (Jenna) MacWilliam of CT and 9 great-grandchildren; Brendan, Kara and Mazikien of NY and Robbie, Ryan, Lincoln, Emily, Hazen and Aella of CT, as well as many nieces and nephews including her special Babe and Tony who spent much time with her.
In addition to her parents and husband, Kathleen was predeceased by her brothers Roy (Fern) Sherman, Walter (Audry) Sherman, Richard (Marie) Sherman and Donald (Mary) Sherman along with her sisters Susan (Harvey) Carvell, Ellery (Clarence) Bigger and Tillie (Dick) Edgecombe.
Kathleen is also predeceased by her special In-Laws; Hazen (Lela) Hill of Calais, Maine with whom she spent many vacations with over the years and whom she loved dearly.
There will be no public calling hours or funeral services at this time. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date in Calais, Maine at convenience of the family.
