OGDENSBURG – Abbigail Pratt, an 11th grader at Ogdensburg Free Academy, is the September OFA Student of the Month.
Abbi received a Certificate of Achievement from OFA and a plaque from the Ogdensburg Community Office of the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce.
Abbi was nominated for Student of the Month by Sue Mclean, an OFA teacher who had this to say about her, “I am nominating Abbi Pratt, to look at Abbi’s schedule, you would think there was a mistake. She is taking challenging courses – AP course and two science classes and no study halls. Who does that? Abbi Pratt! She also is one of the sweetest people you will meet and is extremely hardworking. Abbi is a member of the National Honor Society and Varsity Volleyball team. On her volleyball team, she is working hard and is willing to try any position. She knows all the rotations, all the jobs of each position and is an extremely smart and valuable player who can play multiple positions because of her skills and knowledge of the game. As a member of Jazz Band as well, she asked for a 7 am practice so that it would not conflict with volleyball. Abbi could be described as a true coach’s and teacher’s dream student-athlete.”
Abbi would like to attend college to pursue a career as a psychologist.
