GOUVERNEUR — The 2024 Gouverneur and St. Lawrence County Fair will officially open Tuesday, July 30 4 p.m. with food and games after 4-H livestock shows during the day.
A talent show slated for later on at 7 p.m. on the grandstand.
Rides will be open for fairgoers starting Wednesday.
This year’s fair promises to be the biggest yet with two country music shows planned, talent show, firemen’s parade, demolition derby, grandstand shows, High School Bands Parade with Carlton Peck Awards, food, games, rides, tractor pulls and vendors.

While the fair doesn’t officially start until Tuesday, July 30, local 4-H clubs will be on site for exhibit setup and evaluation, judging and animal check-ins from Saturday, July 27-Monday, July 29.

There is a $25 for any wristband of the 2024 fair. Each purchased wristband is good for one wristband promotional period. The wristband grants access to all rides excluding the Rockin Cars (Bumper Cars) and bungee jump.
