Gerald "Jerry" H. Gerstner, 65, Parishville

POTSDAM- It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gerald “Jerry” H. Gerstner, 65 of Parishville, NY, who left us on March 09, 2025.

Jerry was born in Rochester and raised in Massena by his parents, Shirley Matzan and the late Stephen R. Matzan.  Jerry is survived by his mother, Shirley Matzan and his siblings, Michael, Andrew Gerstner, Michelle (John) Boots, Corry (Jim) Ward, Cathleen (Evan) Pryse, and Crystal (Richard) Northrop and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.  Jerry was predeceased by his father, Paul Gerstner.

Jerry was an accomplished electrician.  He could always make you smile and laugh.  He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and playing chess.  He will be greatly missed.
The family would like to thank the dedicated team at Canton-Potsdam Hospital for their excellent care and the compassion they demonstrated during his final weeks.
