CANTON -- The St. Lawrence County Department of Social Services is hosting a Foster Parent Informational Meeting on June 17, from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. at the St. Lawrence County DSS building, 6 Judson St. This meeting will provide people an opportunity to learn more about the foster care program in St. Lawrence County and ask questions about becoming a certified foster parent. The next NTDC Foster Parent Training classes to become a certified SLC DSS foster home are anticipated to begin in September 2025.
