RENSSELAER FALLS – The annual Falls Festival will take place on Friday, Sept. 6, and Saturday, Sept. 7, on Rensselaer Street. The two-day festival promises a packed schedule of live music, family-friendly activities, and local vendors that will entertain attendees from noon to midnight. Activities planned for Friday, Sept. 6, kick off at noon with a vibrant street festival featuring a variety of local craft and food vendors. Live music begins at 4 PM, setting the stage for an evening filled with diverse performances: 4:00 - 6:00 PM The Backwater Duo, 6:00 PM Brian Hammond, 6:00 - 9:00 PM Another Fine Mess, 9:00 PM - 12:00 AM Common Revolution Band. In addition to music, Friday's lineup includes fun for the entire family with kid-friendly events, bounce houses, and the Historical Society Museum open from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. For those with a competitive spirit, the Texas Horseshoe and Cornhole Tournaments will begin at 6:00 PM (registration at 5:00 PM). Throughout the festival, visitors can enjoy delicious snacks like popcorn, funnel cakes, snow cones, nachos, street corn, and baked goods. There will also be raffles, 50/50s, Lotto Boards, and more to add to the excitement. Glow sticks and other fun items will be available for purchase.
