NORFOLK -- The Norfolk Fall Festival will be held Thursday, Oct. 2-Saturday, Oct. 4 with a variety of events planned.
Things get started Thursday, Oct. 2 with a 5:30 p.m. kick off spaghetti dinner at Norfolk Fire Department; followed by a 6:30 p.m. judging for the Halloween House Decorating Contest.
Friday, Oct. 3 events include: 3:30-7:30 p.m. food trucks, large vendor show, Flossy Fairy Floss cotton candy, face painting, balloon animals, bounce houses, slides, obstacle course, train and tractor rides, free caricature pictures by Joe Ferris; 6 p.m. kid's Halloween candy hunt, kid's magic show with Presto Pete and the Incredible Chris; 4-7 p.m. performance by punk band Lost Within; 8 p.m.-midnight open mic at the Coach Tavern.
Things start up again Saturday, Oct. 4: from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Fr. Amyot Parish Center on Morris Street with a cabbage roll sale food sale, country store candy sale, Christmas table, crafts, and religious articles for sale; from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. with the vendor fair; 10-6:30 p.m. at the depot on Furnace Street with All Aboard for Autumn event; 11 a.m. the parade down W. Main Street; 11 a.m.-6 p.m. bounce houses, obstacle courses, slides, train and wagon rides, food trucks, Flossy Fairy Floss cotton candy, face painting, balloon animals; noon, Pumpkin Derby signups; 12:30 p.m. Pumpkin Derby races; 12-4 p.m. petting zoo, pony rides, Her-petology; 2-5 p.m. music by Nick Rycroft, 5-9 p.m. sock hop with the Jolly Agers celebrating 50 years (wear your poodle skirts); 6 p.m. pool tournament at The Coach Tavern.
