OGDENSBURG— Eighth grader Echo Bouchey has been selected as Ogdensburg Free Academy’s student of the month for February.
Echo was nominated for Student of the Month by PE teacher Ms. Amy Lemke, who had this to say about him, “Echo is a positive leader who has stepped up to ensure that a Special Education student (who is a new addition to our class) fits in and feels comfortable in our PE environment. Echo is also aware of his outstanding abilities to dominate any sport but ensures that all his teammates are involved and included in the play. He seems to always be in a good mood and has a great rapport amongst his fellow students. As an eighth grade boy, Echo shows maturity and demonstrates sportsmanship.”
Echo is involved in Soccer, Basketball and Track. He is involved in the AAU Elite Ogdensburg Basketball and Ogdensburg Boys and Girls Club, is a member of the National Junior Honor Society, and is in Advanced Math.
Echo is interested in going to college for Photography. He would like to continue to play sports in the college setting.
Echo received a Certificate of Achievement from OFA and a plaque from the Ogdensburg
Community office of the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce.
The Student of the Month Program is sponsored by the Ogdensburg Community Office of the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce. It recognizes a student from BOCES and OFA as an outstanding student and an all–around good citizen – building future leaders of tomorrow – one student at a time!
