‘No Mow May and Low Mow May’ are movements encouraging lawn owners to either skip mowing entirely for a month (No Mow May) or mow less frequently (Low Mow May) in order to provide food and habitat for pollinators, like bees. The goal is to allow flowering plants like dandelions and clover to grow, providing nectar and pollen during a time when other floral resources are scarce.Pollinators such as bees, butterflies and other creatures are essential to the ecosystem and provide critical pollination services to over 180,000 different plant species and more than 1200 crops.
