MASSENA — A World Turtle Day program will be offered at Nicandri Nature Center on Friday, May 23. It is hosted by the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe Environment Division, NYS Dept. of Environmental Conservation, and the nature center.

• 10 a,.m.: Turtles of NY- learn about the wide variety of species in northern NY and sweet some live turtles. 
10 a.m.-2 p.m. : Turtle coloring sheets, turtle themed scavenger hunt, craft station and exhibit booths.
• 11 a.m.: Turtle craft projects while learning what makes a turtle a turtle.
• 12:15 p.m.: ‘Contamination in Turtles in Areas of Concern’ will be discussed by Jessica Jock, Remediation and Restoration Program Manager at St. Regis Mohawk Tribe Environment Division.
