POTSDAM - Carl V. Esposito, Jr., of Potsdam, NY, (formerly of CT) passed away peacefully with his family by his side on April 27, 2025, at age 53, after a brave and lengthy battle with complications that arose after a successful open-heart surgery.
He is survived by his parents, Carl Sr. and Linda Esposito, his fiancé Kimberly Hall, his siblings, Cathy McRobbie (and her children, Ryan, Brayden and Katelyn), Christine Esposito, Lenny Esposito and his wife Annie, his son, Gary V. Esposito and his wife Dawn (and their children, Ricky and Brooke), and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Carl grew up in Connecticut and attended Bunnell High School in Stratford, Platt Tech of Milford, and later graduated from Hermon-DeKalb Central School in DeKalb Junction, NY. He was a member of Hometown Cruisers of Potsdam, NY, Amvets of Potsdam, NY, IBEW Local 1249 of Cicero, NY, he enjoyed restoring antique cars and won numerous trophies, he loved spending time with his family and friends and entertaining them with his unique sense of humor.
A celebration of life is being planned by the family to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the GoFundMe page that was opened on his behalf or to infectious disease research as to how to handle blood infections and determine where they came from.
