When you think about how expensive food is, don’t forget to consider the high cost of eating cheap food.
As the rates of cancer, obesity, organ failure, chronic pain, autism and birth defects soar, it’s never too late to start eating fresh local food. Now that the farmers markets are open again, you might consider spending a little more on healthy food grown by a local farmer.
If you need more convincing, consider attending the screening of “Food, Inc. 2” on Saturday, May 31 at 7 p.m. at the Canton Methodist Church, 41 Court Street. It’s free!
