Canadian wildfire smoke returns

Posted

The National Weather Service is reporting that smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to spread across the skies in much of the Northeast and the Great Lakes.  The NWS states that smoke from the fires is unlikely to create the smoggy conditions created by Canadian wildfire smoke in 2023. The smoke is also expected to result in unusually colorful sunsets.  The weather service warns that smoke could make it to ground level, resulting in a smoky smell or hazy conditions, but warns that exact impacts are currently unknown.
