ALBANY—The Alcoa Corporation Massena Operations has advanced to the Round of 16 in the Coolest Thing Made in New York competition, according to The Business Council of New York State Inc.
Forty-five businesses applied for this year’s contest and competed in the popular vote last week.
A list and description of each nominee and all the voting information can be found on the contest’s webpage. ( https://madeinny.org/coolest-thing-made-ny )
The statewide initiative spotlights the innovation, creativity, and manufacturing excellence of businesses across the state. This exciting competition provides a platform for manufacturers to showcase their products and highlight their vital role in driving New York's economy forward.
Weekly winners will be decided by a public vote on the contest’s website, allowing New Yorkers to have a direct say in determining the coolest product made in the state.
The voting process is as follows.
The final two contests will be invited to The Sagamore Resort to showcase their products to the more than 250 attendees of The Business Council’s Annual Meeting, where voting will be allowed until we announce a winner on the evening of September 19th at our awards dinner.
