I see that we are not the only ones that have noticed the garbage piling up in the last year or so (“God’s Dump?” Sound Off, April 6-12) and now with the surcharge on the tipping fee at the local transfer stations going up, that should really help the problem. We don’t like looking at it anymore than you do, but adding it on to people’s tax bill which they probably can’t afford either isn’t going to help, something has to be done to help people get rid of their garbage cheaper and easier, though I personally don’t know what we can do when there are so many people out of work and just barely making it anymore. Maybe people are just turning into slobs who don’t care anymore.
