Who knew that only teachers had to pay union dues, state income tax, federal income tax, FICA, buy food for the family, pay mortgages, buy gas for vehicle, pay utilities, car payment, car insurance, land taxes, school taxes, clothes to wear, heat for homes, and maybe a birthday gift for the kids. Oh wait, they aren’t. I, too, have all that to pay just like every other working person who only gets maybe two weeks vacation a year and has to work just about every holiday, and only earn at most $26,000 a year. Do you think I’m going to feel sorry for you? You might better keep quiet. So you chose to get paid for the school year rather than the calendar year, That was a choice. A yearly salary is a salary no matter how you divide it up.
