Did you know that in NYS it is illegal to talk or text on a cell phone while driving? Yes? Do you do it anyway? You are part of a growing number of dangerous drivers. I fully feel that today I have more to fear from Sally So-and-so chatting on her smart phone about how much she loves Justin Beiber than I do a drunk driver. I have been hit by two cars in the last three years, both were drivers talking on cell phones. The first time I was several months pregnant. The other night I was almost side-swiped while in a crosswalk (which it is also illegal in NYS to not stop when a pedestrian is in a crosswalk with or without a light) by yet another cell phone user. It was a man this time and he did not even notice my 2-year-old son with me holding my hand or the fact that he came within inches of ending both our lives. Is checking your latest tweet worth the life of a 2-year-old child?
