I have a concern that I’d like to voice about smoking. I live in an apartment building where I’m assuming that smoking must be allowed in some apartments. I don’t care if people smoke in their apartments; what they want to do in there is their own health and their own business. The problem I’ve been having is that people smoke in the hallway of my apartment building. The bottom of the doors aren’t sealed that well, and the smoke comes right in. I have both asthma and an allergy to tobacco smoke, and I’ve also been told by my doctor to stay as far away from smoke as possible due to other health issues I have. So I’m asking this, please, please do not smoke in the hallways of apartment buildings. Smoke in your own apartment if you like, or go outside. I’m really sick of having my apartment wreak of smoke and feeling like I can’t breathe, and I also don’t think it’s fair for you to jeopardize the health of other people. And please, don’t suggest that I move. I shouldn’t have to relocate an entire apartment’s worth of stuff because someone can’t wait the 30 second walk to get to their own apartment or outside before lighting up.
