In response to “Start at the Top?” (Feb. 23 – March 1), I couldn’t agree more. Recently, all of the salaries of local superintendents were listed in the local paper. All I could think of was all of the money we pay these people and if the general public really knew what these people do for their job they would be disgusted. A far greater outrage is the salary of the BOCES superintendent and his assistant. This fellow is trying to destroy the character of the local school in favor of regional schools. It was listed in the paper that he spent $260,000 to have a study done researching the possibility of regional schools. That is not good stewardship of the educational system, but instead it almost seems criminal.
