I recently read an article about the price of home heating fuel in the “Watertown Daily Times.” We need to shop around for our home heating fuel like we do most other things. There are some companies out there that are ripping their customers off. I have dealt with Merriman’s for over 30 years. They are a family business for one. I prefer to give my money locally when I can. I have never run out of fuel in the 30-odd years I have been with them. Their prices are very reasonable. We heat with propane. Two weeks ago, it was at $2.50 per gallon. Kerosene is around $3.65 per gallon last I checked. My friend at one time was paying $5.17 per gallon for kerosene with another company. This is ridiculous. I may sound like a walking commercial, but Merriman’s is a very good company to deal with. They also have service technicians like your other companies. Check them out. I have already referred two friends to them.
