In response to “Discuss The Issue” (Sept. 15-21): Where do you get the audacity to suggest that if a homeowner does not like the noise at all hours, the garbage strewn about the neighborhood and the general bad behavior of the “future of our country” that they should sell their home and move? And are you really serious when you suggest that the “adults act like adults and discuss the issues with you”? Do you not think of yourself as an adult and feel you should act accordingly? I suggest that if you have any questions pertaining to acceptable behavior you direct them to your parents. They are the ones who ultimately were responsible for instilling good manners and social skills in you. If they are not available, I am sure that the Office of Student Affairs on campus will be an excellent resource. I find it hard to understand how you can describe yourself as being a “bit annoying” and then asking “for people to be respectful to you” in the same sentence.
