Remember folks as you pump that ever-increasing, high-priced gas into your car that the folks in control in Washington are the ones who have said for years that we should be paying more for our gas, and driving less, one likely a direct result of the other. Just yesterday, a White House spokesman said the American people can easily absorb $5-plus gasoline. Easy for them to say when it’s our tax dollars filling the tanks in their taxpayer-leased vehicle and flying them around the country first class spending revenues they haven’t even collected from us yet. Not so easy for many folks in this country who have already learned to drive as little as possible and who are simply struggling to make ends meet.
