In response to the person who says he/she is from here and loves living here, that is great. But did you ever think the reason people here say “This is the North Country. Go back to the city” is because these may be people not from here criticizing our way of life. Yes our North Country is beautiful, but I get sick and tired of people calling us hicks, or a bunch of dumb people who live in the sticks. I for one am highly educated, have lived here all my life, grew up on a farm and raised my family here. However, if someone tells me how awful it is here, then I tell them go back to where they came from.
