Disagrees with tenure

I do not agree with the teachers tenure program as it keeps teachers that are not performing in the classroom protected.  The person who states that they are not paid for their summer vacation is ignorant to the fact that they are paid for their monthly salaries either through one lump sum or paid throughout the year in their paycheck.  I do not disagree with teacher’s salaries as I believe it is not excessive.  What I do not agree with is the pension program and free benefits.  Yes, some districts do require teachers to pay for some of their benefits but it is very minimal.  Besides teachers and state employees everyone is required to pay some of their benefits and require contributions to their retirement.  They also should not use the statement that they are required to have a masters as last I knew majority of college graduates are not teachers.  They are required to have degrees as well in occupations that require payments to retirement and benefits.  Take the rose colored glasses off and admit that you are exceptions to the majority of the real world.
